More About Colby

Colby has been intensely interested in design on multiple levels since he was young, and really throws himself into his work. Saying that Colby has a wide range of experience is an understatement. Here are a few of his relevant areas of expertise:

  • Kitchen Designer
  • Millwork Specialist
  • Engineering Consultant

In his own words: Despite looking like I am 26, I am actually 36. I enjoy working with different people every day, and getting out of the office.

I started using CAD at the age of 13, and prior to that I was drafting by hand when I was in middle school. I worked on many projects and excelled with CAD through all of high school. I started working my first engineering drafting job at the age of 16, working during the week, after school, for a manufacturing company.

During the summer between my Sophomore and Junior years of college, I was hired by a MEPFP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection) Engineering Consulting firm. I continued my studies at the same time and graduated from University of New Haven in 2008 with a degree in Engineering.

I worked on large renovations for buildings in NYC such as The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the American Museum of Natural History, a Broadway Theater, a high-end penthouse, etc.

The list of impressive past projects goes on, but now Colby is focused on bringing his vast experience and expertise to Kitchen Views, working with builders and homeowners who are interested in making their projects the best they can be.
